Equipament for hazardous areas (EX)

Electrical equipment intended for use in hazardous areas (i.e. equipment), for being directly related to the safety of industrial plants that process, store or transport flammable substances, are subject to compulsory certification of compliance, regulated by INMETRO Ordinance 179/2010.

With the certificate of compliance, the user is assured that the equipment has been tested and approved by an independent body for safe use in potentially explosive atmospheres. The certificate of compliance also expresses that the product has been manufactured under a quality control supervised by the certifying body, in order to just place in the market the equipment that exactly reproduce the features of the tested and approved prototype.

In the heating process, gases are generated which can cause an explosion; therefore, it is required a special attention in the design and manufacturing process. From the design to installation, the process is fully monitored to ensure maximum safety. It is custom equipment with restricted applications, designs aligned with the expectations and needs of the applications and in accordance with the current standards applied to the process.
